Students in Periods 3 and 6 should try to earn 10 points prior to the end of the 1st Marking Period in the Accelerated Reader program. Students in Periods 2 and 5 are required to read at least one Accelerated Reader book and successfully complete the multiple choice test that accompanies the book. Students in Periods 2, 3, 5 and 6 will be required to accumulate ten (10) points in Marking Periods 2-4.

Hello Parents and Students,
I hope my 5th grade students are enjoying the first week of school so far. Naturally, it will take a little bit of time for everyone to acclimate to the new schedule. In Reading, each student wrote a poem reflecting on his or her summer. In addition, students were issued a textbook and two workbooks. Please cover the textbook and bring a notebook to class by Tuesday September 8. Also, I will begin assessing students reading , vocabulary and fluency levels on Wednesday to determine guided reading groups.
Homeroom Reminders: Please return forms as soon as possible. Thank you.
Also, 4th grade PSSA results have been sent home with your child. This information does not need to returned to school.
Best wishes for a productive and happy school year,
