Reading:  We finished reading Weslandia and analyzed the character, Wesley,  to compare and contrast him to ourselves. That Wesley is a resourceful boy!  Also, students went back to the text to detail the parts of the plant and its many uses in a chart.

Social Studies:  Today, we read a play to explain what is Memorial Day and its importance.

Carnival is Friday.  Enjoy your evening.

Social Studies:  Period 4 Tests have been returned.  The rest of the tests will be returned on Monday.  Even if your child did not get his or her test back yet, the grade has been posted.

Today, we reviewed the weaknesses of the Articles of Confederation.  Also, we read about different ideas about how the country should be run after the American Revolution and how it was necessary to compromise.

Today, students took on roles during a mock trial activity to practice articulating their points of view and considering other points of view.
