Reminders:  Please bring your costume to school for the parade.  Try to keep it simple so that you are able to get yourself ready for the parade.  Your teachers and classmates will certainly help you, but there isn't time or space to put on makeup. 

5th grade homework reward/mixer is tomorrow.  You may bring a board game and a snack and a drink.

Reading:Island of the Blue Island Test is Thursday.  Read story (many details) and review vocab WS.  Finish answering the following question in your notebook.  Analyze the 2 sites that Karana is considering to build her home.  Why is she only considering these 2 sites?  Describe the features of each site.  Which site does Karana choose?  Why does she choose this site?
Reminders:  All of the information is found in the selection.  Using the information from the selection, make a list of features of the headland and the land on the west to help you organize the information you will need to answer this part of the question:  "Describe the features of each site." 
Also:  Begin your answer with "Karana considered two sites to build her home She considered these two sites because _______________________________"

Social Studies:  Finish writing and illustrating your myth.  Due Wednesday.   Please complete a minimum of 6 boxes on the Storyboard paper.

Reading/Language Arts:  Read Thunder Rose and study selection vocabulary.  Things we did to practice vocabulary that are helpful resources to study:   RWB page 14, The Tale of Carrie the Calf and a review quiz completed today.  Selection Test is Wednesday. 

On Thursday, there will be a quiz on the Challenging Words WS (side 1 - begins with accentuated)
On Friday, there will be a quiz on the Challenging Words WS (side 2 -  begins with desperadoes)
Each quiz will be matching the word to its definition.
