Reading:  no homework
Students wrote an essay to respond to Thunder Rose and Measuring Tornadoes.  The challenge was to organize the information to answer the prompt.  They had to determine the rating and damage level of the tornadoes in Thunder Rose and cite text evidence (words and illustrations) to support their answers.  They had good ideas!

Social Studies:  no homework
Regions quizzes have been returned and the grades are posted.

Reading:  Students who scored BELOW  78% on the Thunder Rose Challenging Words Quiz must retake it Friday.

Social Studies:  no homework; students were finishing the open-book regions quiz and completing a Venn Diagram to compare and contrast the Maya and Roman civilizations

Reading/Language Arts:  Quiz Tuesday on Challenging Words from Thunder Rose.  It will be matching.  Also, quiz Tuesday on Subjects and Predicates. 
Thunder Rose Selection Test is Thursday. 

Social Studies:  There will be an open book "quiz" on the regions (pages 28-35).  Students will answer the questions using maps and words from the text.
